About the Event

Tales from Audrey Kyle, Steve Lally, Maria Whatton, Jimmy McTeggart with a focus on local folklore including stories of wee folk and the Islandmagee Witch Trials. This event is supported by Causeway Coast and Glens Heritage Trust. 

Audrey Kyle is a contemporary  watercolour artist living  on Islandmagee. She has a deep  love of the landscape in which she lives and a keen interest in its folklore, gaining an OCN qualification in storytelling.  Find out more via www.audreykyleart.com

Steve Lally, a native of Co Kildare now based in Co Armagh, Steve Lally has worked as a storyteller and visual artist for over fifteen years. He writes his own fresh material as well as re-imagining folk tales, myths, legends, recitations and story songs, and is the author of several books of folk tales. Find out more via storyman.info

Maria  Whatton is a Storyteller and Author.  renowned for her compelling, vibrant performances.

James “Jimmy”McTeggart is a Co Fermanagh native and longtime resident of Ballycarry in Co Antrim. Crossing over to the art of oral storytelling and poetry reading via short story writing and consumption of books of all genres was a natural progression. Folklore ,environment and the seas bookmark a growing repertoire brought alive in the telling.
