Karen Edwards hails from Carnlough in the Glens of Antrim and combines storytelling with music on her Killarney D and Low D Whistles. Karen has entertained audiences throughout Ireland from as far afield as Cape Clear Island to Derry and has a wide repertoire including traditional myths and legends as well as stories she has written herself based on the history of the Glens of Antrim.
At nine years old Marie Kinney was already playing traditional music, tutored by Jim McGill on the fiddle and John Kennedy on the tin whistle. She was fifteen when she first heard the pipes and began her piping journey, initially self taught, though later she attended the Willie Clancy School. She has since played across the world with Gaelforce dance in Australia, Canada and the USA. She now plays and teaches with Ballycastle Comhaltas.
